About Us

Quite simply, we are an informal network established to serve young ministers, ages 13-19, who are passionate about serving God and God’s people. They are committed to learning, growth, development, and inspiration. This network is designed to serve ministers of various races, denominations, and geographical locations (although primarily within the continental United States).
With a focused process and approach, The Timothy Troop is the gathering of these individuals with individuals who have traveled the road of ministry and are willing to offer wisdom, critical discussion, amazing resources, and inspirational mentoring that provides practical and necessary life lessons to be successful in ministry and in life.

In scripture, Timothy was an apprentice to the Apostle Paul. Without a doubt the Apostle Paul is one of the key figures of scripture with a great deal of the New Testament attributed to this authorship. Beyond that, the life of the Apostle Paul carries with it amazing lessons for leadership, life, education, character, and ministry.
Timothy gleaned directly from Paul’s desire to see him be the best that he could be. The TIMOTHY Troop gathers Paul’s to ensure that the Timothy’s have what they need to be the best that the Kingdom of God can offer.

Widely known as a skilled and proficient administrator, strategist, organizational innovator, and communicator, Christopher J. Harris is currently the Chief of Staff & Director of Church Operations at Fellowship Church of Chicago, where Pastor Charles Jenkins is the Lead Pastor. He also serves serves an International Leader for the world-wide reformation, Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International, where Bishop Paul S. Morton serves as the Founding Bishop.
Starting as a young minister himself, he had the fortunate experience of having access to seasoned ministers who were willing to share the knowledge, experience, and wisdom that they possessed. They served as a “Paul” to this young “Timothy”. Read more here

Mentors help people get BEYOND where they are and even reminds them of the HOPE that they have inside of them. As a matter of fact, God’s process for maturity is when those who are wiser and walk with integrity, pour into those who are still becoming.
The Timothy Troop is not about creating clones, but baton runners. This network is to empower someone else to develop their gift and live life within God’s power beyond their wildest imagination.

There are a number of things that must be done first in order to get started. First, every network participant must have officially accepted their call to ministry AND be involved in their local church.
